I Lost My Dog

I used to have that dog in me. In other terms, confidence and perseverance, and in turn, a sense of hope. The art world is a sick dog and not sick in a cool way. Art, what defines it and what is considered to be art, is up to interpretation. The bullshit, the over-saturation, the biases, and the egos among other things get in the way. Art is cool, people make things, and I have made a thing.
Good Things Will Happen and Bad Things Will Happen Too

Good things happen and bad things will happen too. That's the way it goes. The creatures of suburbia have found a way... well most of the time... and you will too!
INSIDE

The guidelines for this project were being explained to me and I got distracted by the birds flying by the windows outside. What if those birds flew into the windows? Would we have heard them over the noise in this room? Would their imprints remain on the glass? Would they have been okay? Was I the only one who noticed them? Is it strange to be concerned for the security and well being of a creature that others fail to see? When they are seen are they really seen? Or are they just being viewed? What is it to be seen? What is it to be viewed? Is being seen or being viewed being understood? What does it take to be understood?
Gallery for a Raccoon

Alongside the artwork displayed at the human eye level is the same work, downsized, traditionally replicated, and displayed at the raccoon eye level. The gallery space, a human space, is challenged by the furred visitor, an unusual turn of events from the usual conflict of humans encroaching on the animal's habitat.
